I often do find myself being the one to start a deep conversation or “breaking the ice”. I feel like this is because I am always looking into the deeper meaning behind things. In some peoples eyes it is perceived as a very good trait, in others not so much. I feel like it is a good quality to have in myself, looking beyond what is just in front of me, and taking in the deeper, emotionally feeling of something. Some people say that it could be looking “too deep” into it, yet the more you know about something or a situation, the wiser you’re going to be about it.
When in group discussion I feel a little different. I usually try to take a leadership role throughout it, not to enforce anything on to anyone or discard their feelings, but to project myself as someone who shows that I’m bought into the conversation and want to hear other peoples thoughts about a situation. Sitting back and observing can be nice to a point, what I mean is you can listen all day, but the second you say something your body gains authority and control over your own mind. You don’t let everyone else’s ideas run your brain, now you are the one talking, thinking, and feeling everything on a deeper level.
