• Understand and apply APA 7th edition and MLA 9th edition formatting guidelines

• Create properly formatted in-text citations (parenthetical & narrative)

• Construct accurate reference list entries

• Use correct APA title page, headings, and layout

• Format tables, figures, and appendices

• Use proper punctuation, capitalization, and italicization for titles

• Integrate quotations (short & block quotes) with correct citation formatting

• Paraphrase effectively

• Manage citation and reference consistency

• Create running heads, page numbers, fonts, and spacing per APA/MLA requirements

• Use DOI and URL rules correctly (e.g., live hyperlinks, formatting)

• Cite unconventional or digital sources (e.g., social media, podcasts, datasets)
