Read A Primer on Plato: His Life, Works, and Philosophy below. Then complete four assignments.
Assignments:
- Idea Exchange: Visit the Idea Exchange to discuss what you have learned. Post an answer to the question you find there and engage classmates in a conversation by responding to their posts.

3. Primer on Plato Quiz: Click Primer on Plato Quiz and follow the instructions.
4. Oral Narration: Explain Plato’s theory of the tripartite nature of the soul either during a live class meeting (as directed by your instructor) or as a video recording.
If you are completing this course independently and do not have live meetings with classmates, explain the theory of the tripartite soul as a video recording, upload the video to YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive and provide the link in the space provided at the end of this lesson.
If you are a student who meets in virtual or face-to-face classes with classmates, you will complete the Oral Narration during a live meeting and do not need to create a video or provide a link.
