This brief story teaches a general life lesson, which is written at the end of the narrative: “There’s a time for work and a time for play.” Rather than pronounce this truism in a dogmatic way, parents may choose to introduce their children to these two interesting personalities, the ant and the grasshopper, to teach the lesson in a more entertaining way.
