After completing all of the Baptist Sunday School Board’s (now LifeWay) study courses related to adult, general leaders, and Sunday School Directors, I chose to return to college after a  25 year gap. I completed my BS degree in Christian Education from Mid-Continent University located in Mayfield, KY. in 2001.

Aside from my formal education, I have always prided myself in being a life-long learner by continually reading books, watching videos, and attending training events/conference on Sunday School leadership. My desire is to continue learning, as well as facilitating learning for others, as long as God will allow.

After spending all my adult life in sales while serving as a volunteer in the local church, God called me into full-time vocational ministry at 46 years old but didn’t open the door to a church staff position until 2002. For the next 17 years following that, He allowed me to serve as Minister of Education, Discipleship Pastor, and Small Groups Pastor. Even after retirement, He used me as an interim Small Groups Pastor for almost 2 years at the church where I now am a member.

Not only has God allowed me to work with Sunday School University but has also given me the blessing of working with the Disciple Leaders Network.
