I often am the one initiating these conversations but I think this is largely due to the fact that I have read multiple books about philosophy which the average person my age has not. I also think my favorite people to have these conversations with are the ones that I don’t know the best which i believe is contrary to most people. To me I think it’s far more interesting to learn about someone and their ideas on life and things of that nature than to have those conversations with my friends I’ve known since 2nd grade. That’s not to say I don’t like having those conversations with my close friends I just think it is more interesting with others. I also definitely participate a lot in these conversations.

I do initiate conversations about the meaning of life but not truth or beauty. This is because me and my friends are always truthful so we have no reason to talk about truth and we just never cared about beauty much. Though it is not the same for beauty since me and my friends share conversations about why should we do anything if death is always end, and we have discussion about even if we are all going to die someday at least live a fruitful life like have riches and love. Which is way better than just lying in a bed in your mom’s basement doing nothing and just waiting for death. Really anybody in our friend group starts these conversation and we all have our own opinions about it,

I am not the person who usually breaks the ice and brings up deep conversations. However a lot of my best friends do constantly. I typically am there to listen and make them feel validated. I let them talk and once the conversation starts I began to share my opinions. I think these conversations are interesting because they help me understand different perspectives. I think having people who are able to start conversations like that is such a good thing because it gets you to think and grow a bond.

I usually participate in conversations when I know something about the topic or have an opinion about it. I’m more likely to talk about things like sports, music, or topics I’m interested in. I know people who always have an opinion and are not afraid to share it. When I’m talking with others, I usually share my thoughts but keep some personal things to myself. If the conversation is about a topic I don’t know much about, I mostly listen and only speak when I have something useful to add.
